Tiger Time

By olivermaclean

Caught a government bus from Pushkar to Sawai Madhopur. It didnt have air conditioning and it was 48 degrees. And there were alot of locals staring at us. 9 hours. Grim. Stayed in an average hotel with a/c so actuyally slept. The next day we set off in the mid-day sun in an open top jeep, literally no protection from tigers at all. We drove around for 3 and half hours looking for a tiger but they were nowhere to be seen. Suddenly we heard a shout from another jeep and i realised that it was all going to be worth it; the long bus, the rubbish city we were staying in, the intense heat, the extortianate price and hours of looking at deer i could see near my house. While we sped over to the other jeep  I wondered how close it would be, how many cubs it would have,  if i  could use the zoom to get a picture of it eye’s, if i was going to be in any danger because it might be quite close?! The  picture was as follows

Yeh it tooke me 5 minutes to find it aswell. But it was a good trip, saw some croc’s kill a dear and rip it apart in the water. Nice scenery as well.
